I'm a Regular Chris Columbus

Since the holidays wrapped, I’ve spent my seventh month of life (if you can believe it!) progressing rapidly as a human being, which involves exercising my curiosity by exploring the world I inhabit. These flexible limbs I have are quite handy for traveling: when on all four of them, I can move in any direction!

It turns out people like to celebrate the return of Earth to it’s place in orbit around the Sun when they were born. It’s referred to as a “birthday” and seems to bear some kind of significance. Mom celebrated hers, and it was lots of fun: party hats, controlled fire, and cake! I could get used to this.

I’ve started sprouting hard white tablets on my gums. As I understand it, I’ll need them for tearing off food like meat into smaller chunks: biting. The whole practice seems kind of tedious and inefficient to me, but who am I to question millenia of evolution?

I have started enjoying much of what the culinary world has to offer. Most recently, salmon and chicken have been delectable!

At the end of January, we visited my dad’s family in Toronto again, this time for my cousin Thyshaara’s fourth birthday. I’ve gotten familiar with flying on airplanes, so this one was a walk in the park for me. I slept for most of the ride, but I loved the view!

At the end of the trip though, I couldn’t wait to get back home to the comforts of my crib, and my favorite toys.
