It’s certainly been a while since my last post. I’ve been a bit busy, learning to crawl, scoot, cruise, and ultimately walk. But I did it: by my first birthday, I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with these limbs of mine. I can stand up and travel (short) distances thanks to my bipedalism.

To celebrate the Earth circling our Sun exactly one full revolution since my birth, my parents decided to throw one big party! It was space and astronaut-themed, full of balloons, cake, and even a fun magic show!

Even my Canadian cousins made the journey from cold, dark Canada to help celebrate. I had a blast catching up with Thyshaara and little Harshan.

Following my birthday weekend, we spent a weekend upstate at a nice house. There was an outdoor pool, which everybody had lots of fun playing around in. I still don’t really see the point, it’s really cold and wet, and I’m still getting used to gravity! There were lots of critters, many which I hadn’t seen before. Big spiders, caterpillers, worms–the works! I didn’t notice them too much, but that’s probably because they did a good job of hiding.

I hope to write again soon, but it’s hard to pencil time in between eating, playing, and sleeping!
